A few Words about Scanning and Commercial quality - Technical documents
If you are looking for the best your money can buy OR have been ripped off in the past OR You are simply interested in knowing the facts
Take a minute scroll down the page to see the facts with some real world examples
Unlike New Technical Manuals that are printed using DTP Software and Digital scans, Old 40 or 50 year old manuals are printed using the traditional ( By then state of Art ) methods, in order to transform these very old documents to a usable and as close to today's standards PDF manuals, a lot of work is required besides a simple A4 or A3 scanner, we have learned many tips and tricks along the way, and we have a gone a long way since we first started scanning documents for our own service and later on for commercial use, however, even during those very early stages of manual scanning we never scanned a manual in sectioned pages like most cheap offerings you may find online
While there are indeed some drawbacks in the use of PDF Manuals, the main advantage is that you can print on demand, print when you want and what you want, print as big or as small you may want, one rule however applies to any scan / print job, you must have a diagram scanned in its natural size if you want to print a good paper copy, if a diagram is as big as 25" x 11" or 34 x 11 or even bigger which was scanned and saved as PDF in its original size in one piece, it is very easy, Provided that has the necessary resolution to print any selection from it using the Acrobat graphics select tool, zoom in as much as is desired and then print exactly the section you want and move on to have the equipment repaired, Now imagine having to do this using a diagram scanned in 3 or 4 overlapped sections, multiply the time lost x xxx$$ and you have the equation solved expensive tools often prove to be cheaper than the cheapest tools.
Of course it is better to have something than nothing at all, better to have a badly scanned and sectioned diagram than no diagram at all, this is a fact to which all of us will agree, this however is true if there is no better manual source available, but, Qservice is here and you can have it all, our PDF manuals are the best and most effective documents money can buy, we do not claim big file sizes or gray scale scans adjusted or non adjusted, or whatever else the misinformed amateurs may think of to claim for their amateurish offerings in order to convince their victims and collect their money, we deliver what we demonstrate here and this is proof beyond any empty words We provide high quality & properly assembled PDF documents, with perfect text or picture orientation on every page, containing clean readable pages and diagrams, free from foreign notes, and many more details that demonstrate professional work We scan our own manuals using commercial Xerox Scanners and software to clean and reassemble the raw scanned pages to PDF documents, and we deliver quality like the following examples all the time and in all our documents, in the demo pages below you can see how all our assembled documents look like, perfect scans, white pages without any foreign notes, no skewed pages, manuals with a personality built in, these are our commercial quality PDF Technical manuals, and please DO NOT forget, we supply downloadable samples click HERE for every manual we have available, ask any other online vendor to give you samples of their offerings.... you can also visit our PDF manuals FAQ Page HERE
Now who can beat this ....??
A few Words about Document cleaning
Contrary to all claims some inexperienced persons do, cleaning all pages within a document following the Scan process is a must, if the end result must meet strict quality criteria. And at Qservice we do follow quality work procedures,
Here you can judge the results by yourself The following demo is an extreme case of a carelessly littered diagram, one page is completely unaltered, just as it came out from the scanner, while the other is the same page after being Carefully cleaned

A few Words about Text searchable PDF files
All our PDF files are delivered in text searchable format, this means that you can search for any word, phrase, part of word etc. This is done by passing the scanned image through a character recognition program "OCR", and in our documents we employ the "searchable image exact" variation of searchable PDF's. this variation leaves the image file intact. As older documents do not use standard fonts, text searching within the documents is 95% accurate,
You can use any Acrobat reader version above 5.0 for searching documents for text occurrences , but using version 6.0 and above extends the search function to the bookmarks area, thus extending the ease of locating text.
Printing Efficiently The PDF of the service manual is not designed to be printed from cover to cover, the pages vary in size and must therefore be printed in sections based on page dimensions.
Non schematic diagram pages Data that does NOT INCLUDE schematic diagrams is formatted to 8.5x11(A4), and can be printed on standard letter size and/or 8,5x11(A4) sized paper
Schematic Diagrams The schematic diagrams are always provided full size, and formatted to 11x17(A3), some very large diagrams, such as twice the 11x17(A3), are also provided full size, However to help with printing are sometimes reformatted to 11x17(A3).
A) If you have access to a large paper plotter or printer capable of outputting the full-sized diagrams, output as follows. 1. Note the page size(s) of the schematics you want to output as indicated in the middle window at the bottom of the viewing screen. 2. Go to the file menu and select Print setup, chose the printer name and driver to your large format printer, confirm that the printer settings are set to output the indicated page size or larger, and is set at "landscape" orientation. 3. Close the print setup screen and return to the file menu Select "print.." input the page number of the schematic(s) you want to print in the print range window, choose OK.
B) If you don't have access to a large printer you can always use a 8,5x11(A4) printer, to print all diagrams, you just have to click the selection "shrink to page size" or "Shrink to fit", and set paper orientation to "landscape"
Printing specific sections of a schematic To print just a particular section of a PDF, rather than the full page, access the "Graphics Select tool" in the Acrobat reader tool bar. 1) To view the graphics
select tool, press and hold the mouse button over the text select tool which
looks like this
2) After selecting the graphics select tool, place your cursor in the document window and the cursor will change to a (+) symbol, click and drag the cursor over the area you want to print. When you release the mouse button a marquee (or dotted lined box) will be displayed outlining the area you selected.
3) with the marquee in place, go to the file menu and select the "print" option, when the print menu appears, choose the option under the section called "print range" which says "Selected graphic", Select ok and the output will print only the area that you outlined with marquee.
